Team Canada is heading home with not one, not two, but THREE medals from the 2026 UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships 🤩🇨🇦
Our riders gave it their all, even in some insane Alabama heat 🔥 Michael Sametz and Alexandre Hayward started off the medal streak by putting two Canadians on the Men`s C3 Individual Time Trial podium, with Sametz claiming silver and Hayward bronze. In the road race, Hayward finished 4th while Sametz crossed the line in 7th. Maarten Duif followed it up with a silver medal in the MH1 Road Race, earning his first World Championship medal and adding a strong 5th-place finish in the Individual Time Trial.
Jessica Law, John Sonnenschien and Mel Pemble also had incredible performances across both the Individual Time Trial and Road Race events, helping showcase all the exceptional talent this roster has to offer. L`Équipe Canada repart des Championnats du monde de paracyclisme sur route de l`UCI 2026 avec non pas une, non pas deux, mais bien TROIS médailles 🤩🇨🇦
Nos athlètes ont tout donné, même sous la chaleur écrasante de l`Alabama 🔥 Michael Sametz et Alexandre Hayward ont lancé la récolte de médailles en montant tous les deux sur le podium du contre-la-montre individuel masculin C3, remportant respectivement l`argent et le bronze. Lors de la course sur route, Hayward a terminé au 4e rang, tandis que Sametz a franchi la ligne d`arrivée en 7e position.
Maarten Duif a ensuite ajouté une troisième médaille à la récolte canadienne grâce à l`argent remporté lors de la course sur route MH1, tout en signant une solide 5e place au contre-la-montre individuel.
Jessica Law, John Sonnenschien et Mel Pemble ont également réalisé d`excellentes performances au contre-la-montre individuel et à la course sur route, mettant en valeur tout le talent, la détermination et la profondeur de cette équipe canadienne.

Dites bonjour à vos champions canadiens de XCM MTB 2026 🤩
Quelle journée inoubliable à Sault-Sainte-Marie pour les Championnats canadiens de vélo de montagne XCM 2026 ! Des participants aux catégories récréatives jusqu`aux aspirants au titre national, l`énergie sur les sentiers était incroyable.
Au-delà de la course, la fin de semaine a mis en lumière la communauté passionnée de vélo de montagne dans le Nord de l`Ontario. Les investissements continus dans les réseaux de sentiers et les programmes locaux continuent de renforcer le sport pour les cyclistes de tous âges.
