Other sports or hobbies?
Guys on the team call me “The Critic” because of my harsh views on lots of movies and music, but it’s something I’m really big into. I’m a fiend for coffee and I’m getting back into drawing, something I used to do a lot.

How did you start cycling?
My dad got my brother and I cycling with Juventus Cycling Club back when I was 10 and I’ve been racing since I was 12.

Recovery day special…
The perfect rest day always involves the morning recovery spin to Leuven for some coffee.

After biking all day I normally avoid physical activity off the bike. My hobbies include listening to music, watching movies, playing video games and creeping Strava.

‘Don’t overthink it and just pedal’

Right now my race day music tends to be anything from Logic.

Definitely a coffee or 3 and something nice to eat.

You’re not always gonna love what you’re doing at the moment but you should always love what you’re trying to become.

Recovery day special…
When I’m home, most of my recovery days are spent walking my dog, watching movies or spending time with friends.

Who has had the most influence on your cycling career?
Definitely my Dad, he would pull me around on the trailer bike for hours when I was a kid. As a former Paralympian he also taught me the important traits an athlete needs. Both of my parents have been incredibly supportive of my cycling.

Favorite area to train?
Has to be California, I have never had so much fun training before in my life. The Malibu Mountains are a cycling paradise.

Other sports of hobbies?
I really do love cross country skiing, and every year I travel somewhere for a week or two and spend plenty of time on the snow. I also do enjoy woodworking.
