What age did you start cycling? 10ish, my dad and I would go cycle camping during the summer

What inspired you to start riding / racing? Shin-splints preventing me from running, so I took up cycling. Started racing because I wanted to hang out with friends.

First bike? Pink Walmart bike found in our back ally

First cycling club or team? Tripleshot Cycling

Childhood hero? Alberto Contador

Career highlight to-date? Getting 3rd in the 2014 Canadian national u23 road race championships

Favourite place to train in Canada? Well, I really hate the trainer so I enjoy living in Victoria.

Favourite race? Cascade cycling classic. Bend, Oregon is a really cool place

High sock or low? High socks, no question

Favourite food? Crab or blackberries or dates

Hobbies / pastimes away from cycling? Fly fishing, Photography, cooking

Favourite place to travel or race abroad? I haven’t traveled enough to know my favorite place in this world yet

Favourite music? Whatever I’m in the mood for. However, after being in a school jazz band for seven years, I love me some funk.

Favourite tv show or movie? Austin Powers – international man of mystery

Interesting or little-known fact about you? I have many nick names, because Anglophones can’t pronounce my last name: Jay-lo, lamb-chop, lemario, lamaroo, ect…
